Someone, it seemed, was quite obviously happy to see Finn return from his most recent mission.

The 'someone' in question was an orange-and-white astromech currently tearing across the hangar to greet him, squealing at a pitch that would have been distressing if it wasn't clearly excitement and not upset. The droid was trailed by its pilot, one who was equally happy -if not as visibly so- to see Finn, grin spreading as he realized who BB-8 was so excited about in the small crowd departing the shuttle, "Finn!"

This was followed by: "You're back early, did it go alright?"

Finn beams at the sight of BB-8 rolling toward him without thinking he drops to one knee like a certain pilot does and greets the droid at his own level petting the wiggling astromech gently. "Hey buddy," he says cheerfully and then he looks up and grins at Poe. "Mission went fine, my contact actually came through with the information the General wants. He also wants to defect so we might have another former trooper in our ranks pretty soon."

He stands up and moves to hug Poe. "And for the record I missed you too."

He hasn't seen her in years. As much as he's changed, as much as he's rejected the heavy mantle of his name and his legacy for another path, he still sees her as his mother. Unlike the anger and the hatred he felt (and feels, even still) for his father, it's something different with her.

When he senses her presence on the planet it shakes him, to the core, and when he sees her face to face, it's hard to find the words to say. He's grateful for the mask.

"I would think such a high level military target would be more protected. You came alone?"

"Yes." Whether she's agreeing to the statement or answering the question, it's not immediately clear. She is alone currently, but she isn't alone on the planet.

She makes no aggressive moves, her hands rest at ease at her sides. There's a mix of concern & love in her eyes and a subtle quiet disappointment in her expression.

She's not certain where things went wrong, but she often wondered if she had done something different, could she have prevented whatever caused the tragic events that robbed her and Han of their son.

Luke was nervous there was no disputing that in the slightest. He'd walked away from his sister without looking back and he wasn't sure what type of reaction Leia would give him. He moved through the base like a ghost finally finding his twin right in the middle of the action. He lowered his hood suddenly ashamed of how old and worn out he looks.

"Leia."

General Hux found himself stranded on what appeared to be a neutral planet. They had to make a few repairs on the shuttle they were using, which forced him to stay on planet for a few days. None of this, Hux was pleased about. This had put him drastically behind schedule. And they had valuable supplies that were needed.

For the time being, Hux wore a black cloak not wanting to give away that he was from the First Order. This may be a neutral planet, but he didn't need any trouble right now when they were already knee deep. After raising hell at the repair crew, he stormed off to blow off steam in the nearby market.

He wanted to see what this planet had to offer and what type of locals this place harbored.

Huddled in the far corner of the small cell, as far away from her as he could get, Kylo Ren sat and watched his mother out of narrowed eyes.

He had come to faster, the only blessing in their circumstances, if he'd awoken in this empty cell that held nothing but her and him to her face being the first thing he saw, he might have been driven half mad.

When he saw her shift with the first sign of wakefulness, so did he, trying to dig himself deeper into his sanctuary. The manacles which bound his hands behind his back dug into his bloodied skin with the movement, and he growled, once again infuriated to grasp nothing but emptiness when he tried to reach for the Force.

"You wake slowly. I could have killed you already."

This was, to date, the most confusing kidnapping she'd ever been party to. Mostly because it was an Official Apprehension, though just who they thought she was was what eluded her.

Granted, it was possible they knew exactly who she was, it wasn't as if she'd ever made any kind of secret about who she was related to, but any other kidnappings or arrests that had happened to her had been a case of mistaken identity. Why the tattered remains of the First Order would want anything to do with her was a mystery, though she was beginning to suspect she was about to become bait.

Massive Star Destroyer, standard issue holding cell, none of this surprised her as much as it really should, and for the time being, she was managing to maintain her calm.

Luke could feel Han as he sat in exile. He could feel his friend's pain as he confronted his own child. But Luke could see what Han could not, could see Han's death and he reached out pushing his fear and sadness outward. Han don't....don't step onto the bridge. Come to me...bring Rey...R2 has what you need. Please....let him go...for now.

Hera wasn't Force sensitive, but she'd always been proud of her ability to read people. Kanan and Ezra had come back from Malachor changed and since she was wary of pushing Kanan to talk at the moment she decided Ezra was in need of her care and attention. "Ezra," she said softly.
