Kylo has a very skewed view of his grandfather. Lord Vader had been one of
the greatest Siths of all time and he had done much to help unite the
galaxy under the rule of the Empire. He only failed because of his love for
his children, the weakness that allowed Luke Skywalker to defeat him.
"Love is a weakness," he says harshly. Still, it doesn't change the fact
that he does feel love for his mother. He thinks that a part of him, no
matter how small, will always feel love for Leia Organa.
